Highgate Public School is a JK - 8 elementary school located in the city of Markham. Highgate PS is named after Highgate Drive, the street on which it is located.
The school officially opened on September 6th, 1983.
Mission
In order to support the Board's mission, our goal at Highgate P.S. is to prepare students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens who communicate effectively. At Highgate P.S. we value, respect and celebrate diversity. We believe in personal conduct that demonstrates respect for oneself, others and the environment. Students are encouraged and empowered to be problem solvers, risk-takers, and critical thinkers. Successful students assume responsibility for their learning with the support and direction of the home, school and the community.
